Why a scooty

Why Learn Scooty Riding in Abbottabad?

A scooty is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Abbottabad on your own. It needs no clutch or gears, it is light, it fits through bazaar traffic in Supply and Jinnahabad, and it parks almost anywhere. For students, working women and anyone tired of waiting for a ride, it means real independence.

What makes it easier

Step by step

Your 10-Day Scooty Course, Day by Day

Every student moves at their own pace, but this is how a typical course runs. If a skill needs more practice, your instructor repeats it before moving on.

Day 1

Controls & balance

Helmet, controls with the engine off, walking the scooty and using the stands.

Day 2

First rides

Starting safely, moving off slowly and balancing on a quiet, flat road.

Day 3

Braking & stopping

Rear-then-front braking, smooth stops and putting your feet down at the right moment.

Day 4

Turns & U-turns

Wide turns, then tighter U-turns, looking where you want to go.

Day 5

Around the block

Speed breakers, parked cars, junctions and using indicators.

Day 6

Light traffic

Keeping left, mirrors and riding alongside cars on calmer main roads.

Day 7

Busy traffic

Signals, roundabouts, bazaar traffic and keeping distance.

Day 8

Slopes & tricky roads

Extra hill practice for Abbottabad: slopes, wet roads and heavy vehicles.

Day 9

Licence test practice

Slow riding, tight turns, stopping in a set space and road signs.

Day 10

Confident solo ride

A full route on your own with your instructor following, plus licence guidance.

Riding Abbottabad's Hills Safely

Abbottabad is a hilly city, and slopes are where new scooty riders feel least sure. We teach these skills on gentle slopes first, then on real Abbottabad roads:

Scooty Lessons for Ladies in Abbottabad

Female students are taught by female instructors, starting on a quiet road near your home at your own pace. A family member is welcome to come along. Many women start without ever having ridden a bicycle, and the course starts from zero.

Wear closed shoes and pin or tuck your dupatta, chadar or abaya so nothing can reach the wheel. For car lessons, see our ladies driving school in Abbottabad.

What's included

Licence

Scooty Licence in Abbottabad

In Pakistan a scooty is licensed as a motorcycle, so you need a motorcycle licence to ride one; a car licence does not cover it. In Abbottabad, motorcycle licences are issued by the district Traffic Police: a learner permit first, a waiting period to practise, then a sign test and a riding test.

Day 9 of the course is spent on exactly what examiners watch: moving off without wobbling, slow riding, turning without putting a foot down and stopping in a set space. For documents, fees and the online check, read our KPK driving license guide.
