Step 2: Your First Lesson
Your first lesson starts with a briefing on the car and its controls before you drive:
- clutch, brake and accelerator
- the gear lever and gear positions
- steering and mirrors
- handbrake and safe parking
- the plan for your lessons
Then you start practical driving with your instructor beside you.

Step 3: Real-Road Practice
Lessons build step by step, from basic car control to real traffic. You practise lane positioning, turns, junctions, reversing and parallel parking, and you learn to watch for pedestrians, motorbikes and other road users. Your instructor tells you which areas need more practice.
