Automatic Driving School Near Me in Abbottabad
Looking for an automatic driving school near me in Abbottabad? At Makkah Driving School, you don’t have to travel across the city to learn. After admission, your instructor and automatic training car come to your home on the agreed schedule, so your nearest driving school is at your own door. We have taught driving in Abbottabad since 2016. Women and girls are taught by female driving instructors in ladies-only lessons, and male students by male instructors.
Automatic cars are now common on Abbottabad roads. For many learners, especially beginners and women, they are easier and less stressful to learn because there is no clutch pedal and no manual gear changing. Our automatic driving classes help you become a safe, confident driver on the roads you use every day.
Our Abbottabad branch is at Jadoon Plaza, Phase 2 Rd, Jinnahabad. For all our courses in the city, see our main driving school in Abbottabad page.

Why automatic
Why Learn Automatic Driving in Abbottabad?
Abbottabad is a hilly city. Many roads have steep climbs, sharp bends and busy bazaars where traffic stops and starts all the time. In a manual car, beginners often struggle with hill starts and stalling in slow traffic. An automatic car removes those problems, so you can focus on what matters most:
- steering and road position
- smooth braking and speed control
- watching traffic, pedestrians and motorbikes
- safe habits you will use for life
Because the car handles gear changes for you, most learners feel confident sooner. That makes automatic lessons a practical choice on Abbottabad’s climbs, its narrow streets and its busy main roads, such as the KKH (Karakoram Highway).
Is it right for you?
Who Should Choose Automatic Driving Classes?
Automatic driving lessons are a good fit if:
your family already has an automatic car at home
you plan to drive an automatic car regularly
you do not expect to drive manual cars in the future
you are planning to travel or move abroad, where automatic cars are very common
you want to learn without managing a clutch and manual gears
If you already have an automatic car at home, there is no need to spend extra time learning a manual gearbox you are unlikely to use. It makes more sense to learn on the type of car you will actually drive.
If you expect to drive different vehicles, including manual cars, learning manual can still be useful. See our manual car driving lessons if that suits you better.
Training cars
Automatic Cars We Train On
At our Abbottabad branch, students learn on commonly used automatic cars, depending on availability:
Toyota Passo
a popular automatic car that is easy to handle on city roads
Suzuki Alto (automatic)
a familiar, practical car that many families already drive
We train on these familiar models so you get comfortable with the kind of car you are likely to drive yourself. Our focus is not only on one car’s controls. We build driving skills, road awareness and confidence that work in any automatic car.
Step by step
How Our Automatic Driving Classes Work
1
Step 1: Admission
Join through walk-in admission at our branch in Jinnahabad, or through online admission by messaging us on WhatsApp at 0315 8178003. Tell us your area and the times that suit you, and we agree your class schedule. Your instructor and training car then come to your home at the agreed time. For full details of home pick-up, see our driving school with pick & drop in Abbottabad page.
2
Step 2: Your First Lesson
We don’t put a beginner behind the wheel and expect them to work everything out. Before practical driving starts, your instructor gives you a briefing of around 20 minutes on the basics of the automatic car:
- brake pedal and accelerator
- steering
- the gear selector (P, R, N, D)
- parking and the handbrake
- safe starting and stopping
- basic road-safety rules
Once you understand these, you start practical driving with your instructor beside you.
3
Step 3: Main-Road Driving From Early On
We believe learners should build confidence in real traffic, not just drive around an empty ground. Our training includes main-road driving from the early stages of the course, guided by your instructor at your level. You practise:
- lane positioning and turning
- starting and stopping in traffic
- reversing and parking, including parallel parking
- defensive driving
- reading traffic situations in bazaars and on main roads
The goal is not just to move a car. It is to make you a safe, confident and responsible driver.

Female Driving Instructors for Women & Girls
At Makkah Driving School, women and girls are always taught by female driving instructors in ladies-only lessons, and male students by male instructors. With home pick-up, a female learner can start and end every lesson at her door without travelling alone. Many families in Abbottabad choose automatic classes for their daughters, wives and sisters because there is less to manage and the learning feels calmer.
