Around the block
Speed breakers, parked cars, junctions and using indicators.
Day 6
Light traffic
Keeping left, mirrors and riding alongside cars on calmer main roads.

Abbottabad roads
Riding Abbottabad's Hills Safely
Abbottabad is a hilly city, and slopes are where new scooty riders feel least sure. We teach these skills on gentle slopes first, then on real Abbottabad roads:
On slopes
- Controlling speed downhill with both brakes
- Moving off on a slope without rolling back
- Keeping a steady line on bends
In winter and traffic
- Braking early and gently on wet roads
- Keeping clear of trucks and buses on the KKH
- Riding calmly through bazaar traffic

Licence
Scooty Licence in Abbottabad
In Pakistan a scooty is licensed as a motorcycle, so you need a motorcycle licence to ride one; a car licence does not cover it. In Abbottabad, motorcycle licences are issued by the district Traffic Police: a learner permit first, a waiting period to practise, then a sign test and a riding test.
Day 9 of the course is spent on exactly what examiners watch: moving off without wobbling, slow riding, turning without putting a foot down and stopping in a set space. For documents, fees and the online check, read our KPK driving license guide.
